Available Shortcuts

How to Use
Section titled “How to Use”- Focus - Click on the video or page
- Press the shortcut key
- Observe the change
Tip: Focus Required Keyboard shortcuts only work when the video player or page has focus. Click on the video first if shortcuts aren’t responding.
Platform Support

Section titled “YouTube”All shortcuts work in the YouTube player:
- Works in fullscreen mode
- Works on embedded players
- Works on YouTube Shorts
Twitch
Section titled “Twitch”Shortcuts work on Twitch streams:
- Works during live streams
- Works on VODs and clips
Generic Sites
Section titled “Generic Sites”Shortcuts work on any site with Subtide active:
- Requires page focus
- May conflict with site-specific shortcuts
Shortcut Details
Section titled “Shortcut Details”Toggle Subtitles (T)
Section titled “Toggle Subtitles (T)”Press T to:
- Show subtitles if hidden
- Hide subtitles if visible
- Translation continues in the background
Use when:
- You want to temporarily hide subtitles
- You need an unobstructed view
- You’re pausing to focus on video
Dual Mode (D)
Section titled “Dual Mode (D)”Press D to:
- Enable dual subtitle mode
- Disable dual mode (translation only)
Dual mode shows:
[Original text in source language][Translated text in target language]Use when:
- Learning a language
- Verifying translation accuracy
- Following along in both languages
Download (S)
Section titled “Download (S)”Press S to:
- Open the download dialog
- Choose format (SRT, VTT, TXT)
- Save subtitles to your device
Export formats:

Custom Shortcuts
Section titled “Custom Shortcuts”Currently, shortcuts are not customizable. The default shortcuts are chosen to:
- Avoid conflicts with YouTube’s native shortcuts
- Be easy to remember
- Work across all platforms
Conflict Resolution
Section titled “Conflict Resolution”If shortcuts don’t work, check for conflicts:
YouTube Native Shortcuts
Section titled “YouTube Native Shortcuts”Some YouTube shortcuts that may seem similar:
C- Toggle captions (YouTube native)T- Theater mode (conflicts - Subtide overrides when active)
Browser Shortcuts
Section titled “Browser Shortcuts”Browser shortcuts take priority over page shortcuts.
Site-Specific Shortcuts
Section titled “Site-Specific Shortcuts”Some sites have their own keyboard shortcuts that may conflict.
- Remember the pattern: T for Toggle, D for Dual, S for Save
- Click first: Always ensure the video has focus
- Fullscreen: Shortcuts work in fullscreen mode
